NATIONAL LEVEL TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM – AretE’13

Introduction:

The National Level Technical symposium Arete’13 was structured by the staff and the students, for the students to present papers on the following topics

  • 4G Wireless Technology

  • Ad Hoc Networks

  • Advanced Databases

  • Cloud Computing

  • Cyber Crime and Security

  • Green Computing

  • IT Challenges In Rural Areas

Students from several colleges like Pavendar Bharathidasan College of Engineering, PSNA, Anna University- Chennai, Angalamman College of Engineering, Vellammal College of Engineering etc., took part in our Arete’13.  We received 145 Papers of which 24 Papers were left after scrutinizing. Prize awards were endowed based on certain criteria pursued by the juries. First Prize carries Rs.1000, Second Prize carries Rs.750 and third Prize carries Rs.500.

Lighting of lamp

Inaguration:          

A one day National Level Technical symposium ARETE’13 commenced with the inaugural session on 14th September at 10.00a.m. The occasion initiated with the Lighting of lamp on the purpose of bestowing message of peace and light to the humane race. Mr.M.Veerandiran, The Chairman of IT Students Association greeted dignitaries and the others to the Symposium and spoke momentarily about our TECAVERN (outstanding) and ARETE’13(excellence). The introduction to chief guest was presented by Mrs.K.SathyaLakshmi M.Tech., (PhD), HOD/IT explaining the achievements and the various fields on the research. Our chief guest was accolade with due respect in the mark of a remembrance, a shawl and Memento. The presidential address was conferred by Dr. J. ArputhaVijayaSelvi, M.E., Ph.D., Dean-Research & Development.

       She motivated the students to enrich in the upcoming trends and to be involved in all other activities. The Symposium was inaugurated by the   eminent personality  Dr. R.GANESAN Prof & Head, VLSI, Sethu Institute of Technology, Virudhunagar.In his inaugural address, he highlighted that, acquiring conceptual knowledge and Practical skills are the basic needs for the budding engineers. The souvenir release was hosted by chief guest and was handed over to Mrs.K.SathyaLakshmi M.Tech., (PhD), HOD/IT.

Paper Presentation:

          The Paper Presentation started by 11.00 a.m.  in Pallava Hall

II Floor,Block-I. Participants presented their Papers with their full attitude.

Technical sessions:

         The technical session consists of the following events conducted by the Tecavern association.

  • Technical Online Quiz

  • Technical Crossword

Technical Online Quiz:   

       Technical quiz was conducted at 2.00 p.m. in IT Lab-I,I Floor,Block-II. Students from various college participated and won prizes. 1st and 2nd prizes were given with cash awards.

Technical Crossword:

            Technical crossword was conducted at 11.00 am in Hall No.225,

II Floor,Block-II. Students from various colleges participated and won prizes. 1st and 2nd prizes were given with cash awards.

The participants of various sources got into the technical bleach and showed up their talents.

The final evaluation for the above given technical events were done and the prize winners were chosen.

Non Technical session:

Surprise events were conducted for the participants at 3.45 pm in Pallava Hall

II Floor,Block-I which was out of their own interest led to a successful one.

DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES AND CERTIFICATES.

Valediction:

The ARETE ‘ 13  valediction  Started by 4.00 p.m.  in  Pallava Hall which was followed by the distribution of Prizes and Certificates.  Feed backs were voluntarily offered by the participants for the involvement and being user friendly to the outsiders on this grand occasion. Almost 4 to 5 participants came up gladly for the feedback session.

Finally the Vote of Thanks was delivered by the Assistant Chairman Ms.N.Minarini in which she mentioned heartfelt gratitude to the participants who were the vessel of the occasion, the HOD for being there when needed, the symposium co coordinator

Mrs. K.Suganthi for lending her hand when ever needed and the staff members to guide lastly the students who were the pillars of this grand success.

To add pride to our patriotism, our National anthem was sung by the whole souls of the occasion followed by adieu!
