On 13/9/13, ENIGMA’13 (A National Level Technical Symposium) was organized by department of EEE.

We received around 65 papers from various Institutions in Taminadu, from which 22 papers were selected. Among the 22 papers, 13 papers were registered. Around 9.00 am Registration was started at Pallava Hall in Block I. The inaugural session of ENIGMA’13 was started with Prayer Song and Lightening of Holy lamp at 10.00 am. Dr.P.S.Kannan, Professor (Emeritus), Thiagarajar college of Engineering, Madurai was the chief guest and he delivered a special address to the participants & our department students and staff members.  Introduction about Chief Guest was given by Prof A.Tamilselvan/Project Officer. The presidential address was given by Prof. A.Albert Martin Ruban/HOD.  The inaugural session showed us the symptoms of success due to the overwhelming response. After inaugural session, there was a hi-tea break at 11.00 am. After tea break, session-I for paper presentation was started in Pallava Hall at 11.15 a.m. In session-I, 8 papers were presented on their areas like Smart Grid, Advanced Control Systems, SCADA etc., and simultaneously, preliminary rounds for  Technical Quiz & AD-ZAP  were conducted in Power Electronics Lab. After session-I, lunch was served at Electrical Machines Lab from 1.45p.m. to 2.30 p.m.

Then, session-II was started at 2.35 p.m. In this session 5 papers were presented. During this session the finalists for events were announced, 5 teams were selected for Main round of Technical Quiz & AD-ZAP. All the events were successfully completed around 4.15p.m. Then, there was a hi-tea break at 4.15 pm. Validation function was started at 4.25 pm. During this feedback from participants were collected and they said that the progamme was wonderful. The first three places of paper presentation received a cash award from Prof. A.Albert Martin Ruban/HOD. The First three places of Technical Quiz and AD-ZAP received prices from project officers Prof.A.Tamilselvan and Prof.T.Kannan. Participation certificates were distributed to the remaining participants. Finally, the program ended with National Anthem.
